Hello world!

Ok this is the first post, as I am migrating from Vox (which seems to have gone belly up.).  May I say that the formatting for this new blog is a bit more complicated.  At Vox, of course you just hit create and typed.  but I imagine in a few days this will seem like old hat as well, and I suppose its better to be in the real world.

Hopefully all of my Vox’ers find me here as well….

It looks like I’ll be here too, Katie. Reading some of the angry post that are on the Vox.com page (admin page) it looks like a lot of the people who tried (are trying) to transfer over to TypePad, well, their stuff is not transferring, they’re getting error messages or time outs. Though WordPress is more complicated, I’m planning on going to Barnes and Noble and buying a book about WordPress so I can learn how to use it.

It will probably take me almost to the 30th to move my blog.

    • OMG a book on word press. My biggest issue is making the blog look like I want it to but I figure if I keep experimenting a little 2-3 times a week I wil eventually get it. so check back, each day…as it will probably be looking different!!!

  2. Katiebell, you are my oldest “friend” on Vox, and I am really sorry at this disruption in service. Because we are leaving town, I don’t have time to try to figure out what to do best.

I did succeed in importing my Vox blog over to TypePad. No problem, really, the importer worked great. What I am concerned about is the loss of my friends and neighbors. Really sad!!

I decided against WordPress. Too much to absorb and my life is too busy. I also didn’t want to spend big money on a book that has everything I’d need to learn about WP. Just too complicated. My life is too….too much of everything right now.

I went to Posterous. My blog is being upload from Vox now, but tomorrow you should be able to see the blog at http://www.wordsworth.posterous.com
